Development Assignment Page

Development assignments represent roles, and what they can access, that users can have within a development. Each development assignment can use a different selector or view of the development data. In addition, each development assignment can use a different development setting and subset of the design tool suite for the development.

Required access roles:

  • App-specific: Defect Engineer
  • Baseline: Leader or a user with Review and Approve (RWA) license

To access this page:

  1. Open the needed development. See Opening a Development
  2. In the navigation pane, click Assignments.

Column NameDescription
Assignment NameThe name of the development assignment. Click to view the properties page for that assignment.
Business RoleThe business role that determines access to items in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Click to view the properties page for the role.
DescriptionThe purpose of this assignment.
Development SelectorThe name of the branch that this assignment will have access to.
Development ViewThe modules view of the data for people with this assignment.
Development SettingThe development setting module people with this assignment have access to. Click to view the properties page for the development setting.
Opens the properties page for the development assignment in a new window.

Delete Deletes the selected development assignment. Click OK to confirm.

You cannot delete an assignment if it is used by a development area.
