Connecting a Revision to a DesignSync Object

You can connect a model version revision to a DesignSync object by defining a DSFA connection.

Before you begin: Do one of the following:
  • Open the Properties page for a model version. See Model Version Properties Page.
  • Open the Model Version Revisions page for a model. See Model Versions Page. Select one model version revision. The Connect to DesignSync Object action is available if at least one object is selected, but generates an error if more than one object is selected.
  1. From the toolbar, select Actions > Connect to DesignSync Object .

    Note: If the object is already connected to DesignSync, this generates an error.

    The Connect to DesignSync Object window opens.
  2. Edit the following fields:

    FieldDescription
    StoreSelect the store where the connected file, folder, or module lives in DesignSync.
    PathType or click to select the DesignSync path of the file, folder, or module.
    File, Folder, or ModuleSelect the type of the DesignSync object to which you are connecting the model version. If you used the button in the previous field, the type is preselected.
    SelectorType the DesignSync selector.

  3. Click Done.

If a model version revision has a DSFA connection, the Content category includes a Browse DSFA page that lets you view the contents of the linked object. See Navigate DesignSync Object / Browse DSFA Page.
