Model Versions Page

The Model Versions page lists the model versions owned by or assigned to you, beneath their associated models. Models in the Inactive lifecycle state are not listed on this page. To access the model versions page:

  1. With an app that includes Product Line Management active, click .
  2. In the navigation pane, select Model Versions.

Columns

Column Name Description
Marketing Name The marketing name of the model version. Click to open the model version.
(Derivation Cue)

Only shows if Derivation mode is enabled.

Shows for derivations. This column is blank for revisions and the root model version.
(Latest Cue)

Only shows if Derivation mode is enabled.

Shows for the latest revision in each revision chain (each derived model version can have its own revision chain).

Shows for the latest revision on a revision chain if the model version in the Release state. If both of these conditions exist, only this cue shows in the column.

Name Name of the model version.
(Image) Shows the primary image for the model version, if defined. Click to open the Images page, where you can view all images for the model version. See Images Page.
Tags

Only appears if Defect Management and Collaboration is installed.

Name of any tags assigned to this revision.
Type Shows the type of model version.
Description The detailed description of the model version.
Product Classification

Only shows if Services Management is installed.

The type of financial model version. You must assign a product classification before the Services Product reaches the Review state.

Option Description
Financial Product A marketing entity that can include other services and products (a bundle).
Financial Service A service performed for a customer, typically sold with other services within a product.
Financial Component Technical part composing services.
Financial Instrument Technical part composing services.

State The current state of the model version in its lifecycle.
Owner The person responsible for the model version.
(Open in new window) Click to open the Properties page for the model version in a new browser window.
Derivation Type Indicates whether the item is a derivation or revision of a model version.
Derived From Indicates which from which model version the item is derived.
Derivation Level Indicates from which level of the model version the item is derived.

Add to Portfolio Adds the selected model versions to an existing portfolio. About Searches
Copy Selected Copies the source model version structure and rules to another model version. Copying a Model Version
Delete Deletes the selected model version. Click OK to confirm. You can only delete a model version if it is in the Preliminary state and does not have any revisions or derivations. -
Reports > Model Version Roadmap Report Displays a roadmap report for the selected model versions. Model Version Roadmap Report
Reports > Timeline Report Shows the timeline representing the roadmap tasks for the selected portfolio. Model Version Timeline Report
Change > Change Request > Add To Existing Adds the selected objects to an existing change request. Predefined Queries
