NameEnter a name for the development setting. You cannot change the name when revising a development setting.
RevisionEnter a revision value for the development setting.
StateOnly shows when you create (not revise) a development setting from the category for a development. If you revise a development setting or create it from the Add menu, the app automatically creates it in the Reference state and the State field does not show in the dialog box.

    Choose one of these options:

    • Reference
    • Make Copy
    • Make Branch

    See Table 1.

DescriptionEnter a detailed description of the development setting.
StoreClick to search for and select the DesignSync server.
PathClick to search for and select the path to a DesignSync module or module version. You can also type the path in the text box. If you type a path to a module that does not exist, the DesignSync server creates the path.

If you manually enter the path, it cannot contain any of these special characters: @,*?[]#${}"<>|: ' ~%^&()`= The path name should resolve to a module or module version on the DesignSync server. If the path needs to create a module, the new module cannot be created under another module.

SelectorEnter the name of the branch.

    • If the branch does not exist, it will not be created.
    • If you enter Trunk, the systems appends :Latest to the branch; the selector would be Trunk:Latest.
    • If you enter a text string with a colon, the system appends Latest to the branch. For example, if you enter Gold:, the selector would be Gold:Latest.
    • If you enter a text string other than Trunk without a colon, the system does not append anything to the branch. For example, if you enter Gold, the selector would be Gold.

Use MirrorOnly shows when you create (not revise) a development setting from the category for a development.

Choose Yes or No to define if the development setting module is mirrored. If Yes, the setting’s module contents are re-populated into the development instance any time a checkin occurs for the setting module URL@selector. This mirroring impacts any users with development areas working on the development

Set as Default SettingOnly shows when you create (not revise) a development setting from the category for a development.

When creating the first development setting for a development, this field does not show and this development setting automatically becomes the default.

Defines if this development setting is the default setting for the associated development.

If you choose Yes, the prior default (if there was one) is no longer the default.

  3. Click Done.

You can revise a development setting that is connected to multiple developments. However, the revised development setting is only connected to the context development where you started this procedure, not any other connected developments.
