Copying (Cloning) a Connector

Instead of creating a new application connector, you will find it easier in some cases to copy, or clone, an existing connector and change it to suit your needs.

Before you begin: You must have the role of Simulation Methods Developer to copy a connector.

    • Title: Process Composer displays the title to indicate which connector you are working with. You can change the title of the copied connector to help you distinguish between connectors.
    • Revision: Enter the revision of the new connector. In most cases it will be the first revision in a new series.
    • Description: Enter a description that allows any user to determine the purpose of this connector.
    • Policy: Choose from the list of connector policies. See About Policies for more information.
    • Application Name: Enter the name of the application or the wrapper script that executes the application. The spelling and the case must match the application name that is defined in the ApplicationInfo.xml file for the 3DOrchestrate Station.

  6. Click Done to copy the connector.

Process Composer creates the new connector.

Note: Any access rights that were granted to the original simulation connector are not copied over to the new connector.
