Previewing Download Rules

You can preview the result of your download rules. For example, you may want to pause a simulation after a particular activity has completed and check that the desired files are in place for your download rules before continuing the simulation. You must have read/write access to a simulation activity to preview a download rule.

  1. From the search menu in the Top Bar, search for and select the simulation activity that contains the download rule to preview.
    Process Composer displays the simulation activity in the navigation pane and the table page.
  2. From the navigation pane, select Steps.
  3. From the list of steps, select the Download step.
  4. From the list of download rules that appears in the Steps Configuration page, select the rules that you want to preview. If none of the download rules are selected, Process Composer previews all of the download rules.
  5. From the Steps Configuration page toolbar, select Actions > Preview.
    Process Composer displays the Export Preview window with a table showing the download rules. For each rule, the table lists each file that will be exported, the category and document in which the file is stored in the database, and the path to the file after it is exported.
