Referring to a Simulation Process from a Requirement

You can specify that a simulation process must run to fulfill a requirement.

  1. From the Add menu, select Requirements > Create Requirement.
  2. From the Create Requirement window that appears, enter the name of the requirement, and click Create and close.

  3. From the navigation pane, select Related objects.
  4. From the Related Objects Category window that appears, select the Test Cases tab.
  5. From the menu, select Create to create a new test case.
  6. From the Create window that appears, enter the name and description of the test case and click Done.

  7. From the Test Cases window, click the name of the new test case to open the test case in a new window.
  8. Toggle on the structure navigator view of the test case, and select Processes.
  9. To associate a simulation process with the test case and to run the simulation process, do the following:
    1. Select Add Existing > Reference a Simulation Process.
    2. From the Search Results window that appears, select a simulation process and click Submit.
    3. Toggle on the simulation process and click Run to run the simulation process associated with the test case.
  10. To associate a simulation process experience with the test case and to instantiate and run the simulation process, do the following:
    1. Select Add Existing > Reference a Simulation Process Experience.
    2. From the Search Results window that appears, select a simulation process experience and click Submit.
    3. Toggle on the simulation process experience and click Instantiate to instantiate the simulation process experience associated with the test case.
