About Sheets

Sheets let you create sheets that have their layout and content based on sheet templates.

This page discusses:

Sheet Concepts

Sheets are created by selecting a sheet template.

At creation, the sheet takes the format specification of the template, and dress-up templates are instantiated automatically (Background View, Frame, Title Block).

Sheets keep a link to their source template. This lets you synchronize the changes made in the source template by administrators.

Synchronization with Template, and Related Template Link Management Tools

Sheets may be synchronized with the updated source sheet template by the administrator. You can synchronize the sheet using the Synchronize to Template command. For more information, see Managing Template Links.

Sheets also support the open template and isolate from template command.

Update

You can use the following update commands from Drafting to update the Multi-Discipline Drafting dress-up objects like annotations, area fills, and tables:

  • Update current sheet
  • Update
  • Drawing Update Batch
  • C:force update input command
