Creating a Parametric Annotation

You can annotate 3D objects in the drawing and display relevant information.

You can create an annotation with multiple sub-texts at specific positions and specific position behavior.


Before you begin: Open a drawing containing a generated view.
  1. From the Smart Annotation section of the action bar, click Parametric Annotation .
  2. In the Parametric Annotation dialog box, click Catalog Browser and select a template.

    Tip: In the Catalog Browser , you can double-click a template to select it.
    The template chapter is saved as preference for next time usage.

  3. Select an element from the view or the 3D area.

    You can select a generated item or an interactive element such as a point or a line.

  4. Place the annotation at the required location.
  5. Under Leader, select Activate to keep the leader, or select Deactivate to remove the leader.
  6. Optional: In the Parameters tab, modify the required parameters.
  7. Optional: In the Action Management tab, route the annotation action argument to a different feature.

Notes:
  • Double-click the annotation to edit it.
  • You can change the template.
  • You can synchronize or isolate the annotation.
