Managing Tables

You can update a table, open and sync a table with its sources template, or isolate a table from its source template.

Before you begin: Open a drawing containing a table created by using a table template.

Update a Table

You can update a table from its data source. An update means a complete rebuild of the table contents and layout.

Perform any one of the following actions:

In the Table Definition dialog box, click Update Table.
In the tree, right-click the generative table node and select XXX object > Local Update.

Note: If the table is created by selecting the Automatic Update (with Data Source Update) check box, the table is updated along with its data source.

If the data source is a generative view, the table is updated after the view update. If the data source is the sheet, the table is updated after all the views of the sheet are updated.

Manage Template Links of Tables

To synchronize a table with its template, from the Smart Template Management section of the action bar, click Synchronize Template .
To open a table template, from the Smart Template Management section of the action bar, click Open Template .
To isolate a table from its template, from the Smart Template Management section of the action bar, click Isolate from Template .
This removes the table feature and creates a standard non-associative table annotation.
