Placing an Annotation at the Component Center

You can place an annotation at the center of the object.

The center of the component is computed through the 2D representation of the object to be annotated.


Before you begin: Open a drawing containing a generated view.

About the No Overlap Success Condition
  1. In the Annotation Rule dialog box, under Placement Strategy, select Component Center from the Main list.
  2. Click Edit to edit the strategy parameters.
  3. In the Placement Strategy dialog box, select a position from the Position list.

    It specifies the position of the annotation with respect to the component bounding box.

  4. Optional: From the Condition list, select No Overlap.

Note: For this placement strategy, if a template consists a leader, the leader is disabled.
