About the Attributes Adapter

You use the Attributes adapter to map an attribute of a simulation process or activity to a parameter or vice versa—to map a parameter to an attribute of a simulation process or activity.

Mapping Attributes and Parameters

From Process Composer (Web), you can create attributes, add them to an attribute group, and assign the attribute group to a simulation process or activity. If you then open the simulation process or activity with Optimization Process Composer, you can map an attribute from the attribute group to a parameter. Alternatively, you can map a parameter to an attribute.

The parameter and the attribute that you are mapping must be of the same type; for example, integer or string. In addition, Optimization Process Composer limits the mapping based on the mode of the parameter. For example, if you are mapping an attribute to a parameter, you can map to only parameters with a mode of output (or input/output). Similarly, if you are mapping a parameter to an attribute, you can map from only parameters with a mode of input (or input/output).

You can also map an attribute of a 3DEXPERIENCE platform object (such as an attribute of a part) to or from a parameter; however, only the Title attribute is available from a 3DEXPERIENCE platform object.
