Map an Attribute Value to a Parameter
You can map the value of a simulation attribute to the value of a parameter.

From the Utilities section of the action bar,
click Attributes
and drop it on
the process diagram.

Double-click Attributes.
The Attributes editor appears.

From the Select Activity list, select the simulation activity or the parent simulation process.
Only the Title attribute of the simulation activity or process is listed; additional attributes are not displayed. -
From the Mapping direction menu, select FROM Attribute Values TO Parameter.
- Select Add new mapping.
A new, empty row appears in the mapping table. - In the Name column of the empty row, enter the name of an existing attribute.
The spelling and the case of the attribute name that you enter must match the simulation attribute created with Process Composer (web). - From the menu in the Type column, select the type of the attribute; for example, integer, real, or string.
The type of the attribute that you select must match the simulation attribute created with Process Composer (web). - From the menu in the Parameter column, select an existing parameter or create a new parameter.
You can map to only parameters with a mode of output (or input/output). - Optional: Select Add new mapping to map additional attributes, as desired.
- Click Ok to save your changes and to close the Attributes editor.
Map the Value of an Object's Attribute to a Parameter
You can map the value of an attribute assigned to an object (such as a part or a material) to the value of a parameter.

From the Utilities section of the action bar,
click Attributes
and drop it on
the process diagram.

Double-click Attributes.
The Attributes editor appears.
The Title attribute of the adapter is available.

From the Select Activity list, select the simulation activity or the parent simulation process that contains the object.

Click Show Content.
- Do either of the following to select the object from which you will map attributes:
- Select Content, select a data category, and select or search for an object, such as a part or a material.
- Select Parameter, and select or search for an object parameter.
The attributes for the object appear in the editor. -
From the Mapping direction menu, select FROM Attribute Values TO Parameter.
- From the menu in the Parameter column, select an existing parameter or create a new parameter.
You can map to only parameters with a mode of output (or input/output). - Optional: Select additional attributes and map them to parameters, as desired.
- Click Ok to save your changes and to close the Attributes editor.
