Exporting Simulation Results

You can export simulation results to a MATLAB or Scientific Data Format file.

Note: You can export different simulation results in a number of ways. For more information, see About Exporting Simulation Results.

Before you begin: Simulate and generate results. See Simulate and Generate Results.
  1. From the Scenario section of the action bar, click Export Simulation Result .
  2. In the tree, under the Result of Scenario node, select the appropriate Modelica Complete Result node.

Tip: You can also right-click the Modelica Complete Result node and select Export Simulation Result .

The Simulation Result Export to File dialog box appears.
  3. In the File name field, enter a name for the exported file.
  4. From the Save as type list, select file format.

You can select between the following file formats:

    • Modelica Simulation Result File (.mat) [MATLAB format]
    • Scientific Data Format (.sdf)

  5. Click Save.
A new file containing the simulation results is created.
Note: If you have selected to save your results in Scientific Data Format (.sdf), you can use an SDF editor to work with the result. From the Scenario section of the action bar, click SDF Editor to open an SDF editor. Documentation about the editor is available in the editor.

After the next computation, the corresponding watchlist or plot nodes are created under the Result category to display the result.
