About Types and Connections

Simple Types

Supported types in Systems Experience Validation correspond to the FMU basic types and are the following:

• Boolean
• Integer
• Double
• String

Hierarchical Port Types

A hierarchical port is a group of ports of same type and same direction.

Direction

The direction of a port or a hierarchical port is input or output.

Local Variables and Parameters

An instance can contain local variables or parameters, which can be modified in execution.

Tip: You can show or hide local variables and parameters using Show or Hide Model Variables from the standard section of the action bar.
