Access the Batch Monitor using the command line or the
Utility...
command available in the
Tools section of the action bar. For more information, see Accessing the Batch Monitor.

In the
Utilities tab, double-click
CATSldGenVolumeBatch.
The
CATSldGenVolumeBatch dialog box appears.

Search the root product of structure systems:
-
Click
3DEXEPERIENCE Platform Object Search
.
Note:
You can click Change Location for Object Selection
to specify a
server, if your objects are stored on another server.

In the
3DEXEPERIENCE Platform Object Search dialog
box, select the object type and the extension if any, specify the search
criteria, and click
Apply.
The searched objects are added to the
CATSldGenVolumeBatch dialog box.

Delete other objects using
and keep only the root product.

Click
Fill SFD Root
.
The product appears in the
SFD Root product box.

Remove the root product from the search results area using
.

Repeat Step 3 to search the root product of 3D parts.

Click
Fill Volume Root
.
The product appears in the
SFD Volume product box.

Under the
Mapping specification area, specify the
mapping file.
- Optional:
Under the report area, modify the report directory and the report
name.

Click
Run to run the batch.

When the batch process is finished, click
Open Main HTML Report
to open the report.

Open the root product containing the 3D parts.
Under each 3D part, volumes are generated for all
Structure Functional Design
features of the corresponding structure system.
Notes:
- Each time the batch
is run on the same products, the old volumes are deleted and new volumes are
created.
- You must not
simultaneously initiate multiple batch processes for the same structure system
or 3D part.
- This functionality is for generating volumes for
purposes such as size estimate of structure objects, placement of
other components with reference to them, etc. Therefore, the
generated volume structure may not be accurate and precise.
