Sketching Profiles for Structure Section

You can sketch profiles for user sections using Sketcher capabilities.

Before you begin: Create a structure section.

Section Parameters
  1. Double-click the representation node.
  2. From the Geometrical Tools section of the action bar, click Positioned Sketch .
    The Sketch Positioning dialog box appears.
  3. Select the xy working plane in the work area or tree.

    User sections created using sketcher capabilities must be created in the xy plane.

  4. Sketch the profile.

    Note: For more information about the Sketcher app, see Sketcher User's Guide.



    Note: It is recommended that profile dimensions match actual section dimensions.
    Important: The V vector of the sketch must point toward the MoldedFlange1 face of the section, which defines the bottom of the section.
  5. Click Exit app to exit the sketcher.
  6. Select Share > Save > Save with Options to save the sketch.
