Customizing Preferences

You can customize preferences for Structure Functional Design.

  1. From the top bar, select Me > Preferences, and then click the Common Preferences tab.
  2. In the left-hand pane, expand Object Properties and then 3D Shape.
  3. Select Infrastructure and in the right-hand pane, expand 3D Shape Infrastructure and select the Keep link with selected object check box under the External References area.
  4. In the left-hand pane, click the App Preferences tab, and expand 3D Modeling and then Mechanical Systems.
  5. Select Drafting and in the right-hand pane, expand Administration and select the Disable generative view style usage check box.
  6. In the left-hand pane, expand Multi Discipline Engineering and then select Structure Functional Design.
  7. In the right-hand pane, expand the section corresponding to the options to be customized.

    Section Description
    General The general options let you customize the options for limit types, forming modes, profile sub-element selection, automatic naming, and limit modes.
    Display The display options let you customize the properties of the passing through points and lines, and specify the graphic primitive attributes for endcuts.
