Creating Furniture

You can create a catalog of furniture to organize your products in a store. Furniture includes gondolas, shelves, peg supports, pegs, short shelves, hanging bars, pallets, and drawers. These elements are all visible in a store.

Create a Gondola Section

You can create a gondola section that is composed of furniture to organize your products in a store.

Before you begin: From the 3D Merchandising home page, select the Furniture category.
  1. Select the Gondola Sections tab.
  2. Click Create Gondola Section to start.

    A window appears.

  3. Complete the different boxes to create a gondola that suits you best.
    • Title
    • Supplier
    • Type

    A picture helps you visualize all the different aspects of a gondola such as the height (1), the depth (2), and the base (3).



  4. Click Done.
    The gondola is created.

Associate a Gondola to an Assortment

You can associate a gondola section to an assortment to define the furniture that appears in the 3D space. You can combine it with the products you have created and categorized.

  1. From the Assortment tab, select the title of the assortment.
    A new page appears.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Click the search icon to complete the Gondola Section Asset box and associate a gondola to the assortment.

    The Edit Assortment window appears.

  4. Enter the title of the gondola section in the Title box.
  5. Click Search.
  6. Select the gondola section.
  7. Click Submit then Done.
    The gondola section is associated with the assortment.

Synchronize a Gondola

Unlike a representation that needs revising to be updated, gondolas can be modified through synchronizing. This function is available in Store Studio and allows you to update the modifications, and apply them to the gondola section both in the 3D Merchandising app and in Store Studio.

  1. Open a gondola in Store Studio.

    For more information, see Opening a Model.

    Store Studio is launched.
  2. Modify the height of the base of the gondola section.
  3. Click Synchronize.

    The gondola section is synchronized, and all modifications are taken into account both in Store Studio and in the 3D Merchandising app.
