Managing Gondolas, Scenes, and Stores

You can manage gondolas, scenes, and stores associated with sub assortments of an assortment. Associating a gondola with a sub assortment allows you to create the merchandising plan of the sub assortment products. The default number of gondola sections corresponds to the specified element count of the sub assortment.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin:
  • From the Assortment tab, click the assortment.
  • Click Gondolas Scenes Stores.

Create a Gondola

You can create a gondola and associate it with a sub assortment.

  1. From the Gondolas Scenes Stores page, click Actions > Create Gondola.
    A slide-in panel appears.
  2. Enter details about the gondola.
    Field NameDescription
    Sub Assortment Name of the sub assortment associated with the gondola.
    Title Name of the gondola.
    Description Details of the gondola.
  3. Click Done.

Create a Scene

You can create a scene and associate it with a sub assortment.

  1. Click Actions > Create Scene.
    A slide-in panel appears.
  2. Enter details about the scene.
    Box NameDescription
    Sub Assortment Name of the sub assortment associated with the scene.
    Title Name of the scene.
    Description Details of the scene.
  3. Click Done.

Create a Store

You can create a store and associate it with a sub assortment.

  1. Click Actions > Create Store.
    A slide-in panel appears.
  2. Enter details about the store.
    Box NameDescription
    Sub Assortment Name of the sub assortment associated with the store.
    Title Name of the store.
    Description Details of the store.
  3. Click Done.

Add Gondolas, Scenes, and Stores

You can add gondolas, scenes, and stores and associate them with a sub assortment.

  1. In the page toolbar, click Add.
    The Add page appears.
  2. Click displayed next to the Gondolas Scenes Stores box.
    The search page appears
  3. Search for the required objects.
  4. Select the objects to add.
  5. Click OK. In the Add page, click Done.

Remove Gondolas, Scenes, and Stores

You can remove gondolas, scenes, and stores from the table and from the sub assortment. The object is disconnected from the sub assortment but is not removed from the database.

  1. Select the object to disconnect.
  2. Click Actions > Remove.
    A message appears.
  3. Click OK.
    The object is disconnected from the sub assortment ad no longer displayed in the table.

Clone Gondolas, Scenes, and Stores

You can clone gondolas, scenes, and stores and associate them with another sub assortment. When you clone gondolas, scenes, and stores, the merchandising plan of a sub assortment is adapted to another sub assortment.

By default, the cloned object is in In Work state.

  1. Select the object you want to clone.
  2. Click Actions > Clone.
    A slide-in panel appears.
  3. Enter details about the object.
    Field NameDescription
    Sub Assortment Name of the sub assortment associated with the object.
    Title Name of the cloned object.
    Description Details of the cloned object.
  4. Click Done.
    Note: Merchandising guides and business reports are not cloned.

Clone Revisions of Gondolas, Scenes, and Stores

You can clone any revision of a gondola, scene, or a store.

  1. Click an object in the table.
    The Properties page appears.
  2. Click Revisions.
    The Revisions page appears. This page displays the revisions of this object.
  3. Select a revision.
    The Properties page appears again.
  4. Click Actions > Clone.
    A slide-in panel appears.
  5. Enter the details about the object (sub assortment, title, and description).
  6. Click Done.
    The revision is cloned, and appears in the table.

Note: Thumbnails and xml files are duplicated. Merchandising guides and business reports are not cloned.

Modify Period of Gondolas, Scenes, and Stores

You can modify the period of availability of gondolas, scenes, and stores in an assortment. If period is not defined, the gondolas, scenes, and stores are available in the assortment.

  1. In the page toolbar, click Enable Edit.
  2. Select the start and end dates of the gondolas, scenes, or stores in the assortment.
    You can also Mass Update the start and end dates of the selected or all the gondolas, scenes, or stores in the assortment.
  3. Click Save.
    The gondolas, scenes, or stores are available in the assortment for the selected period. The period end and start dates can also be used to filter the gondolas, scenes, or stores.
    Note: To clear the period, select the gondolas, scenes, or stores from the list of products in the assortment. In the page toolbar, click Actions > Clear Period.

Clear Period of Gondolas, Scenes, and Stores

You can clear start and end dates of gondolas, scenes, and stores in the assortment.

  1. Select the required gondolas, scenes, and stores.
  2. In the page toolbar, click Actions > Clear Period.

The start and end dates of the gondolas, scenes, and stores are cleared.
