Managing Representation Attributes

You can edit the representation attributes from the Properties tab.

Required access roles: Author, Leader

To open this tab, click 3D Model > 3D View.

This task shows you how to:

Edit the Nature of a Representation

You can edit the nature of a representation.

Select the nature of a representation in the Nature list.

Edit the Source of a Representation

You can edit the source of a representation.

In the Source list, select source of the representation. The representation is reloaded and the levels of details are regenerated.

Edit Dimensions

In the Dimensions section, you can edit the dimensions of a representation.

Enter values in the Height, Width, and Depth boxes.

Edit Modeling Attributes

In the Modeling section, you can edit colors, shapes, and levels of details of a representation. You can also apply a material to each representation.

Change Colors

You can change the color of a representation with Pack Manager. This option is available only with representations of source type Box.

  1. Open a representation in Pack Manager.

    Important: The representation source value must be Box.

  2. Select a color in the Color tool.
    The representation has a new color.
  3. In the Home menu, click Save .

Edit Shapes

You can edit the shape of a representation.

Select a shape in the Shape list.

Important: The representation source value must be Photo Modeling.

Edit the Level of Details

You can edit the texture of the high-resolution model and the shape of the low-resolution model.

  1. Select a resolution in the High Resolution Texture list:
    • 1024 x 1024
    • 2048 x 2048.
    The resolution is applied to the high-resolution texture.
  2. Drag the High Resolution - Mesh resolution slider to adjust the mesh resolution. This is used to attain better mesh precision when you generate a 3D representation using product images.
  3. Select a shape in the Low Resolution Shape list:
    • Box: Generates a box for the low-resolution model.
    • Front Plane: Generates a front plane for the low-resolution model.
    • Back Plane: Generates a back plane for the low-resolution model.
    • Left Plane: Generates a left plane for the low-resolution model.
    • Right Plane: Generates a right plane for the low-resolution model.
    • Top Plane: Generates a top plane for the low-resolution model.
    • Bottom Plane: Generates a bottom plane for the low-resolution model.

Apply a Material

You can apply a material to each representation.

  1. Select a material in the Material list.
    The material is applied to the representation with a high resolution.
  2. Click Save .

Edit Merchandising Attributes

In the Merchandising section, you can edit the presentation and insertion attributes of a representation.

Edit the Presentation

You can edit the presentation attributes of a representation.

Select a presentation attribute in the Presentation list.

Edit the Insertion

You can edit the insertion attributes of a representation.

Select an insertion attribute in the Insertion list.

Edit the Consumer Units

You can edit the consumer units value of a representation.

Enter a consumer units value in the Consumer Units box.

Edit the Package Identifier

You can edit the package identifier of a representation.

Enter a package identifier value in the Package Identifier box.
