Creating a Representation

You can create representations to present an object with multiple perspectives. Representations of the same product differ depending on how you display the item in a gondola.

Required access roles: Author, Leader

  1. In the top bar, select Add > Merchandising > Create Representation.

    The Create Representation slide-in panel appears.

  2. Specify the values that comply with the representation you want to create.
    Field NameDescription
    Title Name of the representation.
    Description Content of the representation.
    Nature Nature of the representation. For more information, see About Representations.
    Presentation Presentation of the representation. For more information, see About Representations.
    Insertion Insertion of the representation. For more information, see About Representations.
    Consumer Units Items count that consumers can buy. This value is used for the computation of product quantities.
    Notes:
    • The default value is 1. The representation is a buyable product.
    • For scenes, it corresponds to the items quantity in the scene.
    • For product with multiple parts, see Managing products with Multiple Parts.
    Package Identifier Identification of representations for products with multiple parts.
    Weight Weight of the representation.
    Height Height of the representation.
    Width Width of the representation.
    Depth Depth of the representation.
    Rep Source Source of the representation. For more information, see About Representations.
    Shape Shape of the representation. For more information, see About Representations.
    Max.Stacking Maximum items count that can be stacked in Store Studio.
  3. Click Done.
    Note: After the creation, the representation does not include a 3D model. Use the Pack Manager to generate a 3D model for this representation. If you want to import Collada files, you can create representations of source type Import Details and attach the Collada archive (.zae) files for high, medium, low, or very low resolution models in Pack Manager. Non archived Collada (.dae) files are not supported.
