Managing Sub Assortments

You can create sub assortments to define a sub group of products for which you create a merchandising plan with gondolas, scenes, and stores. You can edit and delete sub assortments associated with the assortment.

Create a Sub Assortment

You can create a sub assortment to start organizing your products.

  1. Click the assortment title.
  2. Select the Sub Assortments tab.
    The Sub Assortments page appears.
  3. Click Create Sub Assortment.
    The Sub Assortment slide-in panel appears.
  4. Specify the details of the sub assortment.
    Field NameDescription
    TitleType a name for the sub assortment.
    DescriptionDescribe the sub assortment.
    Category SizeSelect a category size.
    Note: This list shows values when a retail category with category sizes is associated to the assortment. When the retail category is disassociated from the assortment under which the sub assortment is created, the category size information is removed from the sub assortment.
    Element CountType the number of elements (gondola sections) to build the gondolas associated with this sub assortment.
    Minimum Element Count for Store UsageType the minimum number of elements required in the sub assortment.

    This parameter is used when adapting a planogram to a retail store.

    Maximum Element Count for Store Usage Type the maximum number of elements required in the sub assortment.

    This parameter is used when adapting a planogram to a retail store.

    Is Included In Select the sub assortment under which you want to create this sub assortment.

    All the products of the sub assortment are also associated with the other sub assortment.

    Gondola Section AssetSelect a gondola section asset to associate with the sub assortment.

    This gondola section asset is used as default when creating a gondola associated with this sub assortment.

    Consumer Decision TreeSelect a consumer decision tree to associate with the sub assortment.

    Only one consumer decision tree can be associated with a sub assortment.

  5. Click Done.

Edit a Sub Assortment

You can edit a sub assortment to change the content.

  1. In the sub assortments table, click the title of the sub assortment.
  2. Select Edit.
    A window appears.
  3. Modify the sub assortment content.

    Notes:
    • To associate another consumer decision tree with a sub assortment, select a new consumer decision tree in the Consumer Decision Tree list.
    • To dissociate a consumer decision tree from a sub assortment, leave the Consumer Decision Tree list blank.

  4. Click Done.

Delete a Sub Assortment

You can delete a sub assortment if you no longer need this particular sub group of products. However, the products who were associated with this sub assortment are still associated with the assortment. The gondola, scene, and store associated with this sub assortment are not deleted but are no longer attached to the assortment.

  1. In the sub assortments table, check the Sub Assortment box.
  2. Click Delete.
    A message appears.
  3. Click OK.
