Annotating Merchandising Content

You can annotate the merchandising content such as gondolas, scenes, and stores in the My 3D Merchandising Content widget. You can create slides that are views of the 3D scenes that you can edit with drawings and snapshots. For the content prepared for review, the commands to create, load, or save reviews with annotations are available.

Loading Content for Review

You can load the content in the My 3D Merchandising Content widget for review.

Before you begin:
Click the thumbnail of a merchandising content in the My 3D Merchandising Content widget and select the Review tab.

The content is loaded for review.

Note: A Merchandising Review panel is available in the Review section of the My 3D Merchandising Content widget. This panel consists of commands to review and annotate the merchandising content.

Add a New Slide

You can create a slide to add annotations to the slide.

  1. In the Merchandising Review panel, click Add Slide .
    A new review slide is added. It is in the edit mode. The Slide panel appears displaying commands to annotate the slide.
    Note: Thumbnails of the review slides are available in the left corner of the widget. Click a thumbnail to view the slide.

    On a slide thumbnail, you can click:

    • : To delete the slide.
    • : To edit the slide.

  2. In the Merchandising Review action bar, click to display business data. For more information, see Displaying Business Information in the Widget.

Annotate a Slide

You can add annotations such as markers, text, and images to a slide.

  1. From the Slide panel, use any of the following options to annotate the slide.
    • Click Marker and draw on the 3D scene to create a freehand drawing. You can draw in black, red, green, and blue colors.

    • Click Add Text and type in the box that appears. Double-click outside the box to exit edit mode. Double-click an existing text marker to edit the text, change the text color, or delete the text marker. Click to delete it. When in edit mode, drag the handle that appears on the lower-right corner of the box to resize it. The box and the text are resized. You can also drag to move the box.

      Note: When you add a text marker coinciding with an image, the text appears in front of the image.
    • Click the Eraser to erase the marking drawn on the 3D scene.
    • Click Add Snapshot to take a picture and add it to the slide. When you click Add Snapshot for the first time, a message appears asking you to use the device's camera. After you take the picture, drag the snapshot to the required position and double-click outside the image to place it there. You can also resize the snapshot.
    • Click Open File to add an image from local disk drive to the slide. Drag the image to the required position and double-click outside the image to place it there. You can also resize the image. You can click to rotate the image. You can double-click the image to drag it to a new position or to delete it. Click on the image to delete it.

  2. Click Validate Slide on the slide thumbnail or the Slide panel.
    The markings created on the review slide are validated.

Save or Open a Review

You can save a review and view it in Store Studio with the feedback. You can also open an existing review and add more feedback to it.

In the Merchandising Review action bar, click:
  • : To save the review.
  • : To open a saved review. You can also start a review by opening a saved review.
