Apply Uniform Film Conditions
You can apply a film condition that has uniform values for the film coefficient and reference temperature.
Apply Uniform Film ConditionsYou can apply a film condition that has uniform values for the film coefficient and reference temperature. Note:
Create a temperature initial condition to
establish the starting temperature before solving any simulation with
temperature-dependent features.
Apply Varied Film Conditions with Mapped DataYou can apply a film condition that has different film coefficient values or reference temperature values at different points on the model. You can choose to apply mapped data for either the film coefficients, the reference temperatures, or both. Note:
Create a temperature initial condition to
establish the starting temperature before solving any simulation with
temperature-dependent features.
Before you begin: You must have your spatially mapped data prepared. The mapped data specifies different
film coefficient values or reference temperature values at various points in
space.
Apply User-Defined Film ConditionsYou can apply a film condition that has uniform values for the film coefficient and reference temperature. Note:
Create a temperature initial condition to
establish the starting temperature before solving any simulation with
temperature-dependent features.
Before you begin: Define a film condition (FILM) separately and link it to
your simulation. For more information, see Linking User Subroutines.
