About Coverage Tests

A coverage test is a selection of one or more antennas (at their installed positions) that you later simulate to predict the installed performance of an active antenna.

Creating a Coverage Test

Coverage tests define simulations that evaluate the installed performance of an antenna. You must define one coverage test for each placement candidate that you plan to simulate.

A coverage test definition must include one active antenna. The simulation evaluates only the active antenna's installed performance. If you include other antennas in the test, they act as passive obstacles during the simulation. This lets you evaluate the effects of other antenna structures on the installed performance of the active antenna.

The image below shows a platform with multiple antennas. While you define your coverage tests, the app displays the active antenna in red and the passive antenna in blue.
