Selecting the Files to Save

You can configure how 3DEXPERIENCE manages the files created by executing your Abaqus job.

Warning: The working directory on the cloud server is always deleted when the job completes. If you want to retain any files from the Abaqus job, you must configure the output options to upload files from the working directory to your study.

Selecting the Compute Environment
  1. From the job window, click Select Files to Save.
  2. Select Generate 3DEXPERIENCE Results to generate a lightweight physics simulation object that can be viewed with 3DPlay.
  3. Select Override Default Units for Results to change the units to be applied when the 3DEXPERIENCE results are imported.

    The default units are:

    Mass Kilogram
    Time Second
    Length Meter
    Temperature Kelvin

  4. Select Result Files to upload the Abaqus output database and/or SIM files from the working directory to your study on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. The files are uploaded after the analysis completes.
  5. Select Log Files to upload the following Abaqus log files from the working directory to your study on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. The files are uploaded after the analysis is complete.

    File Notes
Command file (.com) Generated by the Abaqus execution procedure.
Printed output file (.dat) Generated by Abaqus/Standard only.
Log file (.log) Contains start and end times for modules run by the current Abaqus execution procedure.
Message file (.msg) Multiple message files are generated if the element operations are executed in parallel in an Abaqus/Standard analysis.
Status file (.sta) Abaqus writes increment summaries to the status file.

  6. Enter the names of additional output files to upload from the working directory to your study on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
