From the Response Variables section of the action bar,
click Displacement Response Variable
.
- Optional:
Enter a descriptive
Name.

Select the geometry support in the model.
You can select a point.

Select the step or load case that contains the loading to use for
calculation.

From the Direction options, select one of the following:

Measures the magnitude of the total displacement. |
Specified |
Measures the displacement in the directions according to the feature
triad. |

Depending on your choice in the previous step, enter the
Magnitude or the Minimum and
Maximum displacement values.

Optional: Select Use absolute value to use the
absolute value of the displacement.

From the Axis system definition options, select one of the
following:

Global

Aligns the local feature triad with the global coordinate system. |
Local |
Aligns the local feature triad with a selected axis system in the model. If you
select this axis system, you must also specify whether the axis system is
Cartesian or Cylindrical. |

Orients the local feature triad directly. Right-click the feature triad glyph on
the model, and select an orientation tool. |
