From the Objectives and Constraints section of the action bar,
click Objective
 .

Enter a descriptive
Name.

Select a response variable.

From the Type options, select one of the following:

| Minimize |
Reduce the value of this response variable as much as possible within any other
limitations placed on the study. |
| Maximize |
Increase the value of this response variable as much as possible within any
other limitations placed on the study. |
| Target |
Approach a specified value for this response variable. |

If you are creating a target objective, enter the target
value.

Click OK.
