From the Add menu, select .
-
In the window that appears, select a simulation template and do the following:
- Click
to create a
simulation process by instantiating the template.
- Click
to create a simulation process by instantiating the template and to run
the simulation process.
Performance Study displays the instantiate page for the new simulation process.
- If desired, select Modifiable Only to view only the attributes that you can modify, or select Viewable Fields to view all the attributes that are viewable (some may be hidden).
- Make the desired modifications to the attributes, parameters, referenced content, and execution options to which you were given edit permission. You must provide values for required attributes (displayed in red).
- Do either of the following:
- Click Done to instantiate the template and to close the instantiate
page.
- Click Apply to instantiate the template and to keep the instantiate
page open. Performance Study retains any modifications you made to the instantiate page, which allows you to make
minor changes and create multiple instances of the simulation process. For example, you
can modify the value of a few parameters for an informal design study where you want to
study similar cases and compare the results.
Performance Study creates the simulation process, and it appears as the selected simulation process in
the Simulations panel.
