Setup Section

The Setup section allows you to manage finite element models and amplitudes.

Amplitudes define a time versus magnitude curve that can be applied to certain loads to effect variations in the load magnitude over the course of a step. Amplitudes are created as standalone simulation features. A load feature definition includes a reference to a preexisting amplitude; the same amplitude can, therefore, be reused for multiple loads.

A Default amplitude in which the amplitude curve varies linearly from zero to one throughout the step time is available for all loads.

	Material Palette Applies materials to regions of your model or modifies material properties. See Material Options.

	Edit Simulation Domain Defines the physical characteristics of the material. See Creating a Simulation Domain.
	Pick Material Picks the material assigned to a selected part and assigns the picked material to parts that you subsequently select. See Picking a Material.
