Creating Empty FEMs

You can use the Automated FEM application to create or edit finite element model representations for a single product or an entire assembly. An empty FEM is a container for meshes that you must still create. You cannot run a simulation with an empty FEM.

Before you begin: A product must be open in Model Assembly Design.

Correcting Finite Element Model Problems
  1. From the Automated FEM section of the action bar, click Automated FEM .
    The Automated FEM panel appears and displays icons for the General Purpose and Specialized methods for creating and editing finite element representations.
  2. From the General Purpose options, click Empty FEM.
    The app creates the empty FEM and opens it in a modeling app.
