Specify a Predefined Fan Curve

From the E-Cooling section of the action bar,
click Blower
.
- Optional:
Enter a descriptive
Name.

From the 3D area, select
a blower component as the support.

From the Operating point options, select
Predefined.

From the Fan curve options, select one of the predefined fan
curves associated with the blower component.

Click OK.
Derate the Fan Curve

From the E-Cooling section of the action bar,
click Blower
.
- Optional:
Enter a descriptive
Name.

In the 3D area, select
a blower component as the support.

From the Operating point options, select Derate
from predefined.

Enter a value for the RPM, which is the impeller's revolutions
per minute (RPM).

From the Baseline curve options, select one of the predefined
fan curves associated with the blower component.

Enter a value for the Derating factor, which is an internal
scaling factor applied to the fan curve based on the baseline fan curve's RPM and the
operating RPM specified.

Click OK.
Specify a New Fan Curve

From the E-Cooling section of the action bar,
click Blower
.
- Optional:
Enter a descriptive
Name.

In the 3D area, select
a blower component as the support.

From the Operating point options, select Specify
new.

Add a fan curve to dynamically change the intake of flow into the blower.

Enter a value for the RPM, which is the impeller's
revolutions per minute (RPM).

In the table, enter data points for the Volume Flow Rate
and the Pressure Jump to define the relationship between the
volume flow rate and pressure rise for a constant RPM.

Click OK.
