Specifying Perforated Plate Parameters

You can specify the parameters of a perforated plate component to fit your specific scenario. These parameters override the parameters that you specified when defining the perforated plate component.

About Perforated Plate Components
  1. From the E-Cooling section of the action bar, click Perforated Plate .
  2. Optional: Enter a descriptive Name.
  3. From the 3D area, select a perforated plate as the support.
  4. From the Choose P-V curve options, select one of the following:
    OptionDescription
    Component's P-V curve The predefined pressure-velocity curve associated with the perforated plate.
    P-V curve A new pressure-velocity curve that you specify.
  5. If you selected P-V curve, do the following:
    1. Enter a value for the Thickness of the perforated plate.
    2. In the table, enter data points for the Velocity Magnitude and Pressure Drop to construct a pressure-velocity curve.
  6. Click OK.
