Defining a Fluid Domain
  1. From the Boundaries section of the action bar, click Mesh Motion .
  2. Optional: Enter a descriptive Name.
  3. Select the geometry supports in the model.

A mesh motion flow condition can be applied at surfaces, three-dimensional volumes, or vertices.

  4. Select and enter the X-, Y-, and Z-components of the mesh displacement.
  5. Specify the displacement of the mesh nodes. You can use a single uniform value or JavaScript user subroutines that define the value programmatically.

Tip: For a sample user subroutine that defines nodal displacement, see Examples: User Subroutines to Perform a Rotation.

  6. Optional: You can click to specify a scale factor and amplitude for each component.

    • Scale factor: A multiplier that is applied to the magnitude in each step.
    • Amplitude: Name of the amplitude curve that defines the magnitude of the displacement component during the step.

  7. Click OK. About Mesh Motion
