About SimUnit Licensing and Traditional Licensing Models

Under SimUnit licensing, you can use the same licensing pool of credits and tokens for both SIMULIA apps on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and for products such as Abaqus®, CST Studio Suite®, PowerFLOW®, and Simpack.

You can still use simulation tokens, compute credits, or compute tokens, the "traditional" licensing models that preceded the introduction of SimUnit licensing. You can also have both SimUnit licensing and any of the traditional licensing models on the same DS License Server (DSLS).

When a license server has more than one type of licensing available, you can specify the type of licensing you want to use. For more information, see Changing the License Pack for Physics Simulation Apps.
