Following the modification of a product geometry, you must edit the weight definition
of the product before updating the weight of the associated body.
-
In the tree, right-click the product to modify and, from the context menu of the object element, select Open In New App.
The product opens in a new tab, in an app that
lets you edit products.
-
From the Tools section of the action bar,
click B.I. Essentials
and, from the list,
select Weight Definition.
-
Declare a new weight for the product. For more information, see 3D Modeling | Multi Discipline Engineering | Weight Analysis | Defining and Computing Weight in a Design Context | Declaring Weight.
Note:
The updated weight definition is defined or computed according to the
global coordinate system of the root product.
-
From the Standard section of the action bar,
click Update
to
update the weight definition of the root product.
The updated weight definition is defined or computed for the leaf product
only, and according to the global coordinate system of the root product.
Note:
A leaf product is a product with no child product.
-
Close the tab to come back to the initial tab.
The weight definition of the body is computed according to
the reference marker of the body. You need to update the weight of the body for it to
correspond to the weight definition of the product.
