Running a Wave6 Simulation

You can upload a .w6 file to a simulation in Simulation Manager, then configure submission options and run the simulation on the cloud.


Before you begin: Create a Wave6 simulation in Simulation Manager.

  1. From the simulations panel on the left, select a simulation.

    Note: You can only configure and submit one simulation to run at a time.

  2. From the toolbar in the details panel or the simulations panel, click Run .
    The run configuration options appear.
  3. From the License options, select one of the following:
    OptionDescription
    Tokens Licensing items that are checked out from the license pool to run the simulation and then returned when it is complete.
    Credits One-time consumable licensing items.

  4. Select the .w6 file you uploaded as the Input file to run. The input file must be uploaded in the Content tab before running the simulation.
  5. Optional: Enter a string for the Command line options.

    This is the name of the workflow or command to run in batch mode. This string must match the name of the object as defined in the Wave6 model.

  6. Click Run.
    Simulation Manager submits a simulation job for the Wave6 simulation to run on the cloud.
