Managing Simulation Connectors

You can view and manage the properties, lifecycle, and relationships of simulation connectors.

This task shows you how to:

Add an Image for a Connector

  1. From the Connectors tab, select a connector.
  2. From the toolbar, click Change Primary Image of Connector .
    The Simulation Process Administration Image Manager appears.
  3. Click Browse and specify the location of the image or enter the URL of an image.
  4. Click Upload .
  5. From the Validate dialog, enter a Name for the image.
  6. From the Image Type options, specify the file type of the image.
  7. Click Submit.
    The image appears in the Simulation Process Administration Image Manager.
  8. If you upload multiple images, click Set as primary image for the image you would like to appear in the connector list.
  9. Optional: To delete an image, select it from the list and click Delete image .
  10. Exit the window to return to the connector.
    The new image appears for the connector in Simulation Process Administration.

Manage Simulation Connector Lifecycle Status

You can use Collaborative Lifecycle to manage the simulation connector lifecycle (from creation to deletion) and collaboration (concurrent access to objects).

  1. From the Connectors tab, select a simulation connector.
  2. From the toolbar, select any of the commands to manage the lifecycle and collaborative options for the selected connector.

    You can click to display additional options. For more information, see Lifecycle.

Manage Simulation Connector Properties

You can view and edit the properties that describe a simulation connector.

  1. From the Connectors tab, select a simulation connector.
  2. From the toolbar, click to display additional options.
  3. Click Properties .
    Properties appear in a new window. For more information, see Properties and Information.

Lock or Unlock a Connector

  1. From the Connectors tab, select a simulation connector.
  2. From the toolbar, click to display additional options.
  3. Click Lock .

    Tip: You can also click Lock from the connector's context menu .

    The connector is locked, and only you can modify it. Other users can open the connector in Simulation Process Administration only with read-only access.

    To see the user that locked the connector, see Locked By in the connector Properties .

  4. To allow other users to modify the connector, select it and click Unlock .

    Important: Users with the Leader or Owner role can unlock objects locked by another user.

View Relationships

You can use Relations to view objects related to your simulation connectors.

  1. From the Connectors tab, select a simulation connector.
  2. From the toolbar, click to display additional options.
  3. From the toolbar, click Relations .
    The Relations panel appears. For more information, see Relations.
