Creating a New Simulation Connector

You can create and configure a new simulation connector.

  1. Click in the left panel to create a new simulation connector.
  2. Enter a Title for the simulation connector.

    Process Composer displays the title when you choose a connector in the process of creating a simulation activity.

  3. Enter a Description that allows any user to determine the function of this connector.
  4. Enter the Application Name or the wrapper script that executes the application.

    The spelling and the case must match the application name that is defined in the ApplicationInfo.xml file for the 3DOrchestrate Station.

  5. Enter the Application Version.

    The spelling and the case must match the version that is defined on the 3DOrchestrate Station. See the 3DOrchestrate - Installation and Administration Guide for more information.

  6. Select the Application Type.

    Option Description
    Application Communicate with an external application.
    Importer Import data into a simulation process.
    Exporter Export data out of a simulation process.

    Choose whether the connecter is an application, importer, or exporter connector. Application connectors communicate with an external application. Importer and exporter connectors allow you to move data in and out of a simulation process.

  7. Click OK to create the connector.

    Note: To edit these fields for an existing simulation connector, select the connector and click .

The new connector appears in the list.
