Physics Methods Reuse

Physics Methods Reuse lets you implement customized action bar commands to define and run simulations on a model. Analysts and methods developers can use this app to create standardized workflows for frequently run simulations. You define these custom methods by configuring custom commands in an XML file.

Physics Methods Reuse is a native app that enables you to:

  • Create custom methods files to define a standard process for a specific type of simulation
  • Simplify workflows by exposing only the action bar commands that are relevant to the specific simulation. For example, if you run crash simulations frequently, you could run a custom methods file with commands appropriate for a crash analysis. You could write another custom methods file for running a thermal simulation and yet another for a different type of simulation.

Physics Methods Reuse redirects you to an appropriate app based on the content of the custom methods file. You can use all the commands available within the physics scenario apps in a custom method. If you do not have the licensed role that supports an app used by the method (such as Mechanical Scenario Creation), the Physics Methods Reuse app is loaded.
