Create a VPM document.

In the top bar, select .

In the New Content dialog box, expand
Document and select VPM
document.

In the Select File dialog box, navigate to your custom
method file.

From the Compass, click Data Setup.
The Data Setup user interface displays collaborative
spaces
bindings in the left pane. The right pane has tabs for
Know-how Apps Packages and for Resource
Tables. All resource tables are associated with a 3DEXPERIENCE
app.

In the right pane, scroll down to Physics Methods Reuse Custom
Methods, right-click, and select Create a new Resource
Table from the context menu.
The Resource Set dialog box opens.

Specify the Title and Description for the
VPM document, and click OK.
The Resource Table dialog box opens.

Right-click in the Resource column, and select Choose
the assigned resource.

Using either From Search or From File,
select an XML document and click OK.
The Resource column displays the XML document you selected. The
preview pane displays the code containing the action types and method type.
Note:
A collaborative space has one resource table but might have multiple documents. For
example, Collaborative Space
A
might reference five documents and Collaborative Space B might
reference seven documents, some or all of which might also be referenced by
Collaborative Space A.
- Optional:
To add multiple methods to the resource table, right-click the
Resource column and select Add a new resource
sub-item.
A sub-tree displays in the Logical Name column.

Right-click in the Resource column, and select
Choose the assigned resource.

Select an XML document, and click OK.
The Resource column displays the XML document you
selected. The preview pane displays the code containing the action types and method
type.

Drag the
Physics
Methods Reuse resource table from the Resource
Tables tab in the right pane to the Collaborative Spaces
bindings in the left pane.

Close the
Data
Setup app, and
click Yes when prompted to save.
You are now ready to run
Physics
Methods Reuse with the methods that you created.
