Process Composer for Dashboard

Process Composer for Dashboard enables you to view, edit, or create a simulation process that automates a workflow from a 3DDashboard. This app is suitable for methods developers, engineers, and analysts who use different automation and optimization apps in a 3DDashboard and benefit from interacting with a simulation process from a 3DDashboard.

You can use a simulation process to automate your simulations, optimize your designs, and manage data. You can use Process Composer for Dashboard to view and edit a simulation process created in Automation Process Composer or Optimization Process Composer, or you can use the provided adapters to create a new process.

Unlike Automation Process Composer or Optimization Process Composer, Process Composer for Dashboard has the advantage of not requiring any installation. It also provides all the benefits of the 3DDashboard; for example, integration with other apps, such as My Simulations and Collaborative Lifecycle for Dashboard.

Process Composer for Dashboard is a dashboard app that lets you:

  • Interact with a graphical representation of your process and the adapters that form the building blocks of the workflow.
  • Configure the execution of an adapter and the data that passes between adapters.
  • Configure the relationship between the adapters; for example, the order in which they run and conditional branching.
  • Define the data sources and the data dependencies in the process.
  • Manage centralized data storage that any user connected to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform can access.
  • Interact with other apps to deploy modeling and simulation best practices to be repeatable, reusable, and accessible. For example, a methods developer can create a simulation process that captures a workflow. They can then use the Process Experience Studio app to design a simulation template based on the workflow. A wider audience of users can then use the Performance Study app to open the simulation template, make changes within the specified limits, and run a new simulation process.

After your process runs, you can use the Results Analytics or Performance Trade-off apps to examine the data the process generates. For example, you can compare the data generated by the simulations that ran during a design of experiments study and select the optimal design.
