Traceable Requirements Management allows you to associate parameters with a requirement. Each parameter, in turn, has a set of attributes. For example, attributes include the name, title, and objective type (target, minimize, or maximize). For a description of parameters and requirements, see "Working With Parameters" in the Traceable Requirements Management User's Guide.

You can import parameters that are created inside a requirement into Performance Trade-off and perform a trade-off analysis. When you import a requirement into Performance Trade-off, you can map the parameters associated with the requirement to parameters in the analytics case. The attributes of a Traceable Requirements Management parameter are imported into the definition of a Performance Trade-off parameter, as shown in the following table:

Traceable Requirements Management Parameter Attribute Performance Trade-off Parameter Definition
Priority (0 to 5) Priority (MH to 5)
Min value Lower threshold value
Max value Upper threshold value
Value Target value
Type Objective (minimize, maximize, or target)

Click from the action bar to search for requirements created with Traceable Requirements Management and import them into your analytics case. You can also import requirements from a Traceable Requirements objects by dragging and dropping the object into the header of the Requirements column on the Compare page.

Where possible, Performance Trade-off maps the imported requirements by matching the name of the requirement with the name of an existing parameter. For more information, see Mapping Between Parameters and Requirements.
