Creating Nominal Effect Plots

You can use Visual Analytics to create a Nominal Effect plot to show the effect of inputs on a selected output parameter in an approximation.


Before you begin: Create an approximation. For more information, see Approximations.

About Nominal Effect Plots
  1. From the visualization controls in the upper right of the Visual Analytics canvas, click New Visualization .
  2. Select Objective Comparison.
  3. Enter a Title and Description.

    The title appears on the visualization when it is added to the canvas.

  4. Select an Approximation.
  5. Select an Output parameter.
  6. Do one of the following:
    • Click Create and Close to create the new visualization and to return to the canvas.
    • Click Create to create the new visualization and to keep the new visualization window open.
