About Parameter Mapping

You can use maps to transfer parameter values from one simulation activity to another activity while the simulation process is running.

By default, parameters are not mapped automatically between activities. You can activate automapping from the Simulation Process Modeling section of Me > Preferences from a native client.

Dataflow Panel

You can map activity parameters from the Dataflow panel and from the immersive parameters view. You can also use the Dataflow panel to create, import, export, modify, or delete parameters. By default, parameters are not mapped automatically between activities. You can activate automapping from the Simulation Process Modeling section of Me > Preferences from a native client.

Immersive Parameters View

You can use the immersive parameters view to display the parameters associated with each activity directly on the process diagram. Colored ports on each represent parameters. When the Dataflow panel is open, paths representing mappings appear between ports. For more information, see Mapping Parameters Using the Immersive Parameters View.

N2 View

The N2 View displays parameter mappings between activities in an N2 matrix view. Activities are on the diagonal, and parameter mappings are represented by arrows between activities. For more information, see Displaying the N2 View.
