Exporting an Object to a 3DXML file

You use the Export to 3DXML batch utility to export a selected object to a 3DXML file.

  1. From the Utilities section of the action bar, click 3DEXPERIENCE Utility and drop it on the process diagram.
  2. Double-click 3DEXPERIENCE Utility .
  3. From the 3DX Utility editor that appears, select the Execution tab.
  4. From the Select a 3DX Utility menu, select Export 3DXML.
  5. To specify the object to export, do either of the following:
    • Select Content, and select an object in the workflow or search for an object.
    • Select Parameter, and select a parameter representing an object.
  6. From the Format menu, select one of the following:
    • With authoring. Select this option to exchange the data on another site through import.
    • For review. Select this option to perform a digital mockup review on the exported file.
  7. In the File Name text box, enter the name of the file to export.
  8. Optional: Enter a Description.
  9. Select With 3D shape representation to export only the 3DShape representations available in the product structure.
  10. Optional: Configure the Execution Options.
  11. Click Ok to save your changes and to close the 3DX Utility editor.
