-
From the Utilities section of the action bar, click 3DEXPERIENCE Utility
and drop it on the process diagram.
-
Double-click
3DEXPERIENCE
Utility
.
The
Utility Editor appears.
-
Select the
Post-Execute tab.
-
Do either of the following to specify the
3DEXPERIENCE
parameters to map:
- Select
Content list and search for the object
containing the
3DEXPERIENCE
parameters.
- Select
Parameter and choose an existing parameter
or create a new parameter.
- Optional:
Use the
Filters to reduce the number of items that
appear in the table. For example, you can choose to display only
3DEXPERIENCE
parameters or only the parameters that contain a particular text string in
their name.
You can also select a node in the tree to view the
3DEXPERIENCE
parameters associated with that node. Use the
Find box above the tree to quickly locate
the desired item in the tree. Drag the bar to the right of the tree to expand
or contract it as needed.
Note:
To start a search using the Find box, click or . Do not press Enter; doing
so closes the adapter window.
-
To map a
3DEXPERIENCE
parameter to an activity parameter with the same name, do the following:
-
Click in the
Select column for each parameter that you
want to add.
-
Click
OK.
Automation Process
Composer
creates the parameter with the same mode and type.
-
To map a
3DEXPERIENCE
parameter with an existing activity parameter, do the following:
-
Click in the
Activity Parameter column in the same row
as the
3DEXPERIENCE
parameter that you want to map.
-
From the list, select the existing activity parameter to which
you want to map.
-
Click
OK.
Note:
The mapping process maintains the value of Knowledgeware and
PLM parameters in the user's display units. For example, a Knowledgeware
parameter representing a length of 200mm, but with display units of meters,
will be treated as a value of 0.2 by the activity parameter in the simulation
process.
Automation Process
Composer
does not support unit conversion. To reflect the change in display units in the
activity parameter's value, you must recreate the mapping by unselecting it,
closing and re-opening the
3DEXPERIENCE
Utility Editor, and selecting the mapping again.
-
To map a
3DEXPERIENCE
parameter to a new activity parameter, do the following:
-
Click in the
Activity Parameter column in the same row
as the
3DEXPERIENCE
parameter that you want to map.
-
Select
Create new.
The
Create New panel appears.
-
Enter the parameter name.
- Optional:
Edit the type and mode.
-
Click OK.
Automation Process
Composer
adds the parameter to the activity. The parameter is also shown as a
3DEXPERIENCE
parameter.
- Optional:
Click
Select all or
Deselect all to add or clear parameters.
-
Click
Show selected to view the selected parameters.
-
Click
Validate to confirm that the selected
parameters exist and have valid units.
If you selected a large number of parameters, the validation
operation may be slow to complete.
If a parameter is valid,
Automation Process
Composer
reads its value from the
3DEXPERIENCE
database and displays the value.
-
Click
Ok to save your changes and to close the
Utility Editor.
