About Test Results

A test result is an object used to capture the outcome (such as simulation results or lab reports) of a physical or virtual test.

The status of the test is assigned to the test result status field.

Typically, the test engineer is assigned a test execution and creates the test results. The test engineer then sets the test execution ready for review. The test engineer moves the test results from InWork to Frozen. The test engineer moves the test results to InReview. Then, the project leader moves the test execution from Frozen to Released.

Test Results and Access Levels

Test results (and all test objects) belong to specific content categories. The category of content, along with your access level, determines what actions you can take on the various types of content.
