Creating Test Steps

You can create a new test step to provide a specific instruction.

Before you begin: You must have created a test script to contain the test step.

About Test Steps
  1. Open the test script in which you want to add one or more test steps.
    The test script displays in the Details pane.
  2. From Test Steps, click Create Test Step.
  3. Enter a descriptive name for the Title.
  4. Enter a Description to uniquely identify the test step.
  5. Enter an Expected Result to indicate the expected outcome from performing the step.
  6. In the Step Data field, click to find the item to attach or drag and drop one or more items from the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.

    For example, you can link requirements, batch files, images, videos, spreadsheets, or other file types.

  7. Click Create.

The new step is displayed in the Review pane.
